Chez nous, meaning “our home”, is a celebrated French restaurant where traditional cuisine blends seamlessly with Texas hospitality and pride. Located in Humble, Texas in a beautifully renovated, circa 1940’s church, Chez nous is owned by Chef Stacy Simonson and Scott Simonson. This award-winning restaurant has been rated one of Houston’s best for 4 decades, consistently offering an elevated yet approachable dining experience.
Our menus reflect both traditional French and inspired American innovation by Chef Stacy’s modern interpretation of Parisian classics. The Chez nous Cru’s commitment to quality and creativity ensures every visit is special. Founded in 1984 by the Brach family, and now faithfully led by the Simonson family, Chez nous has always been family-owned and operated. Now celebrating our 40th anniversary, we continue the legacy with dedication and passion.
Stacy Crowe-Simonson, Executive Chef
Executive Chef/Owner, a native of Brownsville, Texas, began her culinary career at Chez nous in 1997. In 1998, she continued her training at “Chateau des Reynats,” a prestigious Michelin-starred establishment in Perigueux, France. She then joined Fabrice Poigin at “Vignola” in San Diego before returning to Chez nous. Stacy brings great balance and boundless enthusiasm to the kitchen. Her strong classical training shines through in her flawlessly executed dishes, and her inventive offerings are simply delicious.

Scott Simonson, Owner
Chef/Owner began his restaurant career in 1983 in Atlanta, GA as a dishwasher/prep cook after school and weekends. Finding his niche in restaurants, he then worked his way through kitchens in Atlanta, Manhattan NYC, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Austin TX and later in Perigueux, France at Chateau des Reynats. Chateau Vieux Mauriel and Chateau Monbazillac. Upon returning to the U.S., he worked in San Diego at Laurel restaurant, before joining Chez nous as Sous Chef in 2002. After 4 years in the Chez nous kitchen, he spent the next decade in the dining room as General Manager/Wine aficionado. As of 2017 Scott has returned to his true passion in the kitchen, where his considerable talents continue to shine.
Paige Chisum, Maitre d’Hote
our maître d’ of Chez nous is the warm and welcoming face that so many look forward to seeing each visit. A native of Humble, Texas, she began her journey with us as a back-server in January of 2000. Over the years, Paige has mastered her craft at Chez nous, taking from her years under the Brach family she holds true to the traditions that made Chez nous great. As a proud mother, Paige brings a nurturing spirit to her role, always remembering our valued guests and their preferences. Her extraordinary attention to detail and genuine care makes her an irreplaceable talent.
Jessica Lavachery-Brown, General Manager
has been a dedicated member of the Chez nous Cru for 10 years. She started with us as a back-server, quickly evolving into her natural leadership to become our dining room manager, and now serves as our esteemed general manager. Jessica’s meticulous eye oversees all aspects of Chez nous in service, training, and booking private events. The combination of her unwavering commitment to excellence, and her warm demeanor with guests make her truly invaluable. Outside of work, Jessica is a proud mother to three boys, bringing her patience and strong leadership to the helm of Chez nous.
